very corporate tier and boring design. i'd say flags are symbols made for communication and distinctness/relatedness, and there aren't really any flags like the UN flag.
the only way someone could say that the UN flag is the somalian or the micronesian flag from a distance is if they were being disingenuous, joking or doesn't know what stars are.

I actually like it as it is, but I would support:
• Remove the landmasses from the projection. Just concentric circles with radii. Honestly, maybe remove these too.
• Thicken the outer ring/circle of the globe.
• Maybe simplify the laurel leaves, but keep their basic character.
• Maybe introduce the orbit of the Moon around the Earth, inside the laurel leaves, with the phases displayed.

I mostly just wish the UN flag could be centered on any point on earth, or at least rotated however you feel. But I'm a sucker for any flag you can edit.

personally I'd just make the olive branches simpler, and then make the globe into a solid circle. Maybe even invert the colors so that the planet is blue.
