There is always precise steps that will guarantee you a great final logo design: Design brief: this step where you send to the client a detailed logo design questionnaire to collect all the information needed. Research and Mind mapping: in this phase you should make a deep search about the industry, and the competitors of your client, you will also learn about your client’s target audience. Sketching And Refining: this step is about putting ideas on paper no matter how you drawing look like, its about gathering as much logo design concept as possible, then choosing the right ones an clean it. Digitizing: this step is about digitizing your sketches and making them scalable vector logo designs. This is the full logo design process for a real logo project! In this video, we will take you through the step-by-step process of designing a logo, from initial concept to final product. Designing a logo is a complex and multi-step process that involves research, ideation, and refining. By following a structured and thorough logo process, you can create a logo that effectively represents the brand and resonates with its target audience, each and every time. In this video, we will walk you through every step of the logo process, providing insights and tips on how to design a logo that stands out. The first step in the logo design process is to conduct research. Before starting the design process, it's essential to understand the client's brand, target audience, and competition. In this case, we researched the relevant industry, and the client's competitors. Once we have a clear understanding of the client's brand and target audience, we move on to the ideation phase. This is where we brainstorm ideas for the logo and create rough sketches, and generate keywords. We explore different design directions and consider various design elements, such as typography, colour, and imagery. After ideation, we move on to the refinement phase. This is where we take the most promising concepts and refine them further. We create digital sketches, experiment with different colour schemes and typography, and refine the design until it accurately represents the brand and resonates with its target audience. Once we have a refined concept, we move on to the finalisation phase. This is where we make the final tweaks and adjustments to the design, ensuring that it's ready for presentation to the client. We make sure that the logo works in various contexts and sizes and that it effectively represents the brand's values and personality. Throughout the full logo process, we document each step and explain our thought process and design decisions. Here is my basic logo design process, after reviewing or going through the client's brief that I have received about the brand and logo to be designed. The next steps are: 1. Research: This involves researching on the current trends about the logo, here I spend time on Pinterest, Behance and even Instagram. The research will cover what I intend to create for the brand and what kind of designs already exists in the same industry. I will also create a moodboard of the kind of elements, fonts, colours and feeling I want to showcase in the logo and it’s brand identity. Sometimes I make a wordmap too. For every brand, there are certain words related to it. This can be connected via the name of the brand or the message and feeling they want to convey. This helps with what I create in the next step. 2. Sketching: This is my favorite part of the whole process and also where I spend most of my time for most logo designs. Here I sketch a bunch of ideas, try out different patterns, fonts, icons and so on till I’ve come up with one that I find suitable. 3. Vectorizing: Now I can sit on my desk, open adobe illustrator and turn the sketches into vectors. If the sketch is well executed, then my time here is limited. 4. Presentation: Here I create a brand presentation for my clients, showcasing the finished logo options and waiting their reviews. Streamline your design process with Milanote: 🤍 Stylescapes are a crucially important aspect of the graphic design process. Importantly, a stylescape is an opportunity to demonstrate to the client how a brand or design will look and feel. It’s a collection of brand assets, namely colours, typography, images, language tone, design elements etc. In the actual design process, stylescapes often fall before final mockups and after the brand strategy. The crucial information is collected through discovery meetings wherein you the designer will learn all you can about your client’s business. By gaining this understanding of what your clients do, why they do it, and who they do it for, we are able to align brand messaging with key information such as attributes, taglines, and slogans. Crucially though, the target audience is vastly important to understand, and that does need to be incorporated into your design stylescape too. The ADVANCED 8-step graphic design process, revealed and explained to you guys in todays video. This is a process that I personally use for my workflow, and the 8step process is essential for me, so that I end up with the best possible design solution, with the skills and knowledge that I have. The design process is so important to the success of a project. Without a process in place, it is a lot like heading on a long journey without a map or navigation system. You will be lost, and if you end up with a decent design at the end, it probably will be due to luck and certainly won't be sustainable. I use this process mainly for working on logo designs, because it really helps me get in touch with the client, the company, the industry and the client base of my client. This ensures that the final logo design solution is not only effective, but that it will last a long time in the eyes of the consumer. You cannot underestimate the design process, especially when designing a logo for a client. When I was a young designer, I used to stress when it came to the design process, especially with logo design. I was always anxious about what to do,in what order and how much time to spend on each step. Stress and anxiety can reduce creativity and take the fun out of the design process. Over the past 10 years, I have been really focusing on my process and refining my process so I can be more efficient as a designer and spend more time being creative rather than stressing about the process.
